Happy Halloween, everyone!

We had a great Halloween here.  Although hubby and I don’t have any kids of our own yet (and since we don’t get into dressing up our dogs in pet costumes), we passed out candy to trick-or-treaters.

I love seeing the kids’ costumes, and tonight we saw some really good baby Halloween costumes.  One baby was dressed up as Yoda, while his older brother (probably about kindergarten age) dressed up as Anakin.  Another kid was dressed up as Nemo.

It always amazes me how few parents get dressed up in adult costumes to take their kids trick-or-treating.  I guess maybe they don’t have enough imagination to come up with a good costume idea — though I don’t think it’s hard to think of something good, such as these unique Halloween costume ideas.  When I am a mommy I plan to get dressed up every year — though, granted, I probably won’t trick-or-treat with my kid dressed as a football player’s helmet.

I’m always kind of sad when Halloween ends.  I usually don’t get to do what I wanted to do — for instance, every year (this year included) I always wish I’d gone to a Halloween party.  Oh well, though — at least I had fun passing out candy and seeing the great costumes!
