I should have really known better than to start a website (since I am technologically challenged), but I did it and now I have to make it work.  It took a lot of effort and trial and error to get the site looking the way that I wanted it to, and once that was done I was left waiting for the visitors and sales to pour in.

But they didn’t come.

I guess I should have realized that it was going to work out that way.  Just like a real world business, if you don’t tell anyone about it, you can’t expect anyone to stop by and spend money, right?

So, I realized that I needed to do some marketing, and I decided to contact a Tampa SEO firm and a Tampa PPC firm to get varying points of view on what I should do.

After the meeting with both companies, I was left to decide as to what my budget was going to be.  On one hand, I could be patient and wait to get listed on the first page of the search engines, or I could just use PPC, get on the first page instantly, and get a good idea as to how the site was going to do.

It took a lot of debating in my own head, but I have decided that I am going to try PPC first to see if the market for the products that I sell actually exists.  If that turns out profitable, I think that I will use both routes to ensure my success at marketing online.
