Decorating a Home to Make it Worse

Recently I worked with some Dunnellon custom home builders to create a home for me in the Florida area.

The entire process was really easy, and I could not be more pleased. But one of the things I found kind of funny was how much I spent afterwards on all of the pieces to make my house complete beyond the construction.

For example, as a fan of various types of Asian art, normally I would purchase one or two pieces of artwork for a new home in order to cover up some bad areas and make the rooms look better – but in this case, the rooms already looked good. Very good. And the only way to create the ambiance I wanted still was to buy almost a dozen different pieces of Asian art to help give the room a more complete look. In the end, I had to do this with things like furniture, plants, and a ton of other things.

My friend had the exact same experience with his Orlando custom home builder and my uncle with his Panama city custom home builder. At this point I’m wondering if this is just a Florida thing or if everyone that ends up with the type of home they want experiences the same struggles.
