Choosing Wedding Invitations

Choosing your wedding invitations is one of the most important parts of planning your wedding. First of all, the wedding invitations have to be planned and ready before anything else, since you have to send them out two or three months in advance. (The amount in advance depends on whether the wedding is local or not. For instance, if you are having your wedding in Michigan and most of your guests don’t live there, you will need to give them extra time to make travel plans and RSVP. And for a destination wedding, where everyone will be traveling, it is even more crucial!)
You should also make sure that your wedding invitations set the appropriate mood for your wedding, particularly if you are having a theme wedding. In all cases, the wedding invitations let guests know how fancy to expect the wedding to be. In addition, if you are having a theme wedding such as a castle wedding, your invitations will set the stage for your theme and let the guests know whether they should dress accordingly.
As you can see, a lot of thought needs to go into choosing your wedding invitations, typically months and months before the wedding actually takes place. Not only do you have to do all this planning, you also have to have time to address the invitations and send them out in plenty of time!
In other words, you had better get crackin’!
