I admit it - I love to get gifts. I am not one of those people who lets my birthday slip by unnoticed - I throw a big party and make sure everyone knows about it. I like to celebrate with the people I love. And I like to get presents.

Of course, I don’t like all of the gifts that I get. There are a lot of things that end up getting re-gifted. But there are certain types of gifts that I always love to receive.

For example, I really like any sort of unique personalized gifts. Last year I got a set of personalized blankets from a good friend. She had taken photos of some of our vacations together over the years and made collages that included quotes from the trips and sights we had seen then had these collages printed on to blankets.

I like getting blankets in general, actually. One friend gave me some really cool camouflage bedding in unique colors that I really like. Basically, I guess I like gifts that are different from the norm. When you have as many birthday parties as I do, you want to see something that you haven’t seen before!
