My cat has cat furniture.  I have a room just for her stuff.  I did not plan it in the beginning, but when my children left the nest; her stuff just was moved into the empty room over time.  I put her scratching posts in their first.  My thought was if that is in their, she use it there and will not be tempted to scratch my other furniture because she will not see it while she is scratching away.  It seems to have worked so far. 

The cat tree was also moved in there.  I liked to have an uncluttered house and it was getting difficult to move around the cat tree in the family room.  Since I had the extra room that is what I decided to do.  So now I tell people that I have a room for my cat.  I say that tongue in cheek, because it would easily go back to being a guest room for any visitor.  But the fact that I have all of my cat’s stuff in there it makes me feel better because my house looks much nicer without all of that stuff way out in the open.
