Of all of the interesting things that you can debate and talk about when it comes to Airsoft, whether or not it hurts worse than a paintball is certainly worth commenting on. When people first go out and get that expensive Tokyo Marui, they are probably coming over the Airsoft world from the paintball world. They have been splattered a time or two with paintballs and they have to ask, “Is this going to be worse for me?” The answer is somewhat different, depending upon who you ask.

Most people will tell you that getting hit with an Airsoft round does not hurt nearly as badly as the welt that can happen when you get hit by a paintball. Sure, if you get hit right on the skin, it is going to sting a little bit, but when compared to a paintball, it does not hurt for very long. KWA guns can really bring a pop, but when you look at the top paintball equipment, you are talking about things that can really sting. This is one of the reasons why many players are choosing to play Airsoft now as opposed to paintball. Simply put, paintballs can inflict some major damage and when it starts hurting that bad, it just is not very fun anymore.
