Overwhelmed by Activities on my Cruise

Though many high school students proceed right into college after they graduate, I thought that I would take a year off and travel the world. I had grand dreams of going to Mexico, Egypt and Europe and gaining some culture while discovering who I was.
I was greeted with a reality check when I realized how much such an expedition would cost. As it turns out, my ambition was a little bit larger than my finances would allow, so I had to scale back my dreams of a grand adventure and settle on one of them. In the end, I decided to go on a cruise.
The first few days here were amazing - there were so many sights to see, wonderful foods to eat, and so many friendly people on board. But after those first few days, I started to question what I was doing here and what I expected to get out of the experience.
I decided that participating in activities would let me get the most out the trip, so I checked to see what the cruisers activities in Cozumel were. I was a little overwhelmed at the number of choices, and decided to go swim with dolphins as it was the simplest one to understand.
Maybe I am just too young to be here, or not used to being on my own, but I feel a little homesick right now. I think I’ll phone my parents tonight, and maybe I’ll feel better.
